Consequently, you must buy private medical insurance for the first three months of your visit. It is best to buy insurance before you leave home. If you prefer, VEC will arrange medical insurance for you.  The cost is CAN$60 per month. To have your medical insurance arranged by VEC, you must pay for it when applying for admission.  Insurance fees are not refundable. Students are only covered by insurance while they are enrolled in a course at VEC. Your coverage will end no later than 7 days after you leave the school.  If you pay for VEC medical insurance, your coverage will automatically begin on your first day of school.  If you want your coverage to begin sooner, please inform us when you send your application package.
